Meet Yong Chen—artist, author, and professor dedicated to making watercolor painting approachable, relaxing, and enjoyable for everyone. Through a simple step-by-step teaching system using only three primary colors and two brushes, Yong helps students build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. His lessons focus on understanding light, form, color, and observation in a clear and encouraging way, allowing beginners and experienced artists alike to enjoy the creative process with greater ease and freedom.
In 2016, Yong founded the EnjoyingArt community, a worldwide art learning community where artists learn, grow, and encourage one another. Members have access to a large Learning Center featuring different artistic mediums and thousands of lessons spanning from very fundamental principles to advanced full demonstrations, allowing students to continue developing at their own pace.
Beyond the lessons, the heart of EnjoyingArt is its supportive and welcoming community. Members participate in weekly Zoom clubs where artists from around the world paint together, share experiences, help one another, and build meaningful friendships. Yong also hosts interactive watercolor lessons and offers thoughtful, constructive suggestions to help members continue improving with confidence and enjoyment.
The EnjoyingArt community uses subscription billing, meaning members are charged on the day they join and then monthly on that same date. New members can join anytime without waiting for the beginning of the month.
